The Corpus Christi Board of Education has been established as a Board of Limited Jurisdiction within the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

The Corpus Christi BOE is responsible for:

  • School strategic planning and the long-term success of the school.
  • Oversight of financial operations, including the annual operating budget and building & grounds.
  • Oversight of and participation in institutional advancement/development programs designed to attract human and financial resources.
  • Formulation of school policies for academic, student, faith community, business, and development affairs.
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of the school’s mission, policies, plans, and of the BOE’s own operations.
  • Evaluation of the Principal under the direction of the Pastors and DOGR processes.

A complete copy of the constitution and by-laws of the Board of Education is available in the school office.

The Board of Education typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month.  BOE meetings will be noted on the school calendar. All meetings are open to the parents and guardians of children attending Corpus Christi Catholic School.

If you wish to address these meetings, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • All persons or groups must submit a written request to appear before the Board no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled meeting. This request may be submitted to the administrative office of the school or to the chair of the board for Board of Education meetings.
  • To allow for the proper allocation of time, the right of a person or group to address the Board is limited to those whose request has been approved for the agenda in advance of the meeting.
  • Groups must be represented by a single spokesperson.
  • A written copy of the request or petition must be submitted at the conclusion of the presentation.

The BOE is made up of many volunteers from both St. Francis de Sales and Our Lady of the Lake parishes in Holland.  In addition to BOE members, many parishioners volunteer on various BOE committee’s including Finance, Mission Effectiveness, Development, Marketing, and Buildings & Grounds.  If you are interested in volunteering on a committee, please contact the school office.
